Friday thanks

I did a double-take to make sure he wasn't being sarcastic the first time Will said "I really like the Valentine's decorations around here." No eye-rolling, no smirk...but it still seemed to be breaking character enough that I was suspicious. 

And then he said it again, a week later.

Either he's trolling me, or these are a few things that made us both smile this week: 

This sweet wood carving from my mom. I love it even more because she gave it to my sisters too, and it makes me happy to think of us all having one in our homes.

Our pared down, post-Christmas fridge. The Valentine's banner is from Shannon, the flower pictures are from my Diana camera, and I did the watercolor during a Mollie nap. 

Pretty blooms. Our place doesn't get much light, but I've missed having orchids and Will indulged my request for one in lieu of a bouquet this year. (I'm not going to call it a love orchid, though...that's too much pressure for a likely-doomed plant.)
