Oktoberfest

Well, we barely fit it in before October ended, but we had the first annual Dunham Oktoberfest last night!  Despite snow interfering with our plans for pumpkin carving, we had a great time with our friends in our cozy apartment.  This can be attributed to the facts that:

1. We love our friends.
1.a. They are hilarious and great conversationalists, and generally are up for 7-hour-long parties.
1.b. They also sometimes wear cow costumes.  Hooray.
2. We love our apartment.
2.a. The apartment smelled like a Christmas card ought to (does that make sense?), thanks to the large quantities of apple crisp and mulled cider.

And I finally remembered to take pictures of the apartment!  Here's the grand tour.  When you walk in, you are in a little entryway that looks like this:

...which I love because it includes pictures from my trip to Italy, some of our pretty blue Le Creuset, and a  catch-all that is (thus far) keeping Will's receipt-hoarding habit in check.  This is connected to the kitchen:

...which is tiny but awesome and in the middle of messy party-prep in this picture.  The kitchen has a high counter that divides it from the "dining room":

...which is just my little table from my old apartment, and Will's wine collection.  This is, in fact, the same room that is also the living room:

...which I love so much...and, incidentally, is where I'm sitting now, mowing down on chips and queso. I think it might merit another picture:

...though that looks exactly like the first.  Oh well.  Immediately to the left of the living room is the bedroom:

...which needs some attention, but we're kind of ignoring it until we get our new big bed.  This is connected to the bathroom, which I refuse to photograph, because I always think pictures of bathrooms are weird.  [Except for this picture, because it shows the awesome Scrabble tiles Will's dad made for our wedding!]:

And, because I don't want to end this tour on a photo of our towels, let's circle back to the living room and see three random, fantastic gifts:

The table is from my mom and dad (as is the lamp, technically, since I took it from their house), the plate is from Meghan during her time in India, and the owl is from Dave, as a groomsmen gift to Will.  His name is Darwin, and he's very inquisitive.
