blooms

'Tis the season...to start veering toward ever yard I see, and contemplating taking a pair of scissors to public gardens so that I can fill my tiny apartment with bouquets and boutonnieres and center pieces. I love arranging flowers, and I've always known that [while I'm going to have to delegate a lot of aspects of the wedding] one thing I wanted to do myself is take care of the flowers. This is what I'm envisioning:

Clearly, I'm going for simplicity. This means that the hardest part might be finding the flowers! Have any of you done your own flowers? Where's the best place to get the beautiful blooms? I've actually heard places like Sam's Club and Costco are the best for flowers in bulk, while cutting out the middle man...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  1. you need to ask my sister, bekah. she does awesome flower arranging. she did all of my bouquets, and although we get our flowers from a wholesaler in cinci, she would probs know where best to find some in or near the 'dale.

  3. I did it! Well, actually, I planned it and the bridesmaids mostly did it. They arranged them the day before, but you can actually do it three days before and they will stay fresh. We couldn't do them three days before because we were graduating then. But you won't have that problem. I ordered them from this website:

They were super helpful, and the flowers were perfect. :)
