weekend snippets

My girls were here this weekend! Alison, Katie, and Amy came for a visit, and despite some scattered rain storms and lack of sleeping space, it was wonderful. First of all, I used their visit as an excuse to buy flowers [namely, ranunculas, which I think are the prettiest flowers to be paired with an ugly name]:



And we went to the Jefferson Memorial to see the cherry blossoms! It sort of annoys me that Jefferson gets that much attention at ANY point in the year, but I suppose I can't do anything about it. It was a madhouse.



These two "dogs" made me want to get one that could squash both of them:

We also packed in lots of shopping, LOTS of eating, and much-needed chats. I have such cool friends. How about everyone moves to D.C., ja?
