Sunday wishlist 04.10.11

Friends, I'm wishlisted out. How is this possible? Well we registered for 6 hours yesterday. And this is a girl who really, really can't handle long shopping trips. However, it went much better than expected! We didn't get stressed, took our time, and only registered for things we really loved. Most importantly*, we also took a breather halfway through and went over to Baja Fresh and plowed through a mountain of chips and queso. Crucial.

It was actually really fun to pick out things for our house (which of course still doesn't exist at this point in time). We had more than one person look at our scan gun and say "I wish I could think of a reason to create a registry right now...", which gave us a reality check that this is the one time in our lives when we can create a delusional 4-year-old writing to Santa Clause-sized list and get away with it.

That said, after yesterday I can only think of one thing I'd like today [besides passing out in front of the Masters for hours...which I'm definitely doing]:

So simple. So good. Just swap out the normal cellophane around a bouquet, use parchment paper and take a pair of scalloped scissors to the edges. Perfection.

[*Ok, most important ingredient for success was actually probably the fact that we drove to the stores, parked the car, and immediately did an unplanned wine tasting. THAT got the day started right.]

  1. re: "unplanned wine tasting"... joy.
re: registering..... YUCK. hated it. got too many dishes that I didn't like a year later.... immature choice. BUT! DID get coolest Waterford shot glasses that were the ONLY thing billy chose and they are our favorite thing to this day...... moral of the story? Give the guys a choice!

  2. That's a GREAT story! Will was definitely in charge of the scan gun, but one of the things I pushed hardest for were pilsner steins...my dad would have been appalled if we had forgotten those :)
