He is risen!

I hope you all had the most wonderful Easter. Ours started with the most packed Mass I've ever attended...the balconies were overflowing, people had to stand along the walls, and even all the way up the center aisle [we were smushed next to the doors in back ourselves]. But it was a gorgeous spring day, the doors were open, and the kids were all bedecked in Easter finery, and it was the holiest day of the Church year, so I had no complaints. Then we had a day-long brunch with our best friends....it was epic. It was my first Easter without my family, and while there is of course no substitute for their love and tom-foolery, it was wonderful to realize that I have a DC family too...dysfunctional though we may be. [Fortunately, no one counted the number of mimosas consumed.]

Now we're wedding planning with all of the windows open and a raging storm outside. Though so many aspects of wedding planning are fun [colors! flowers! dresses!], there are some, namely logistics, that make me want to punch a hole through a wall. Now that I think of it, kicking would probably also be necessary to do any sort of damage. And I'd want to do damage.

The only thing that can conquer this urge is this:

[Yes, I did just use an extended hyperbole as an excuse to post a picture of an adorable baby bunny. I can't help it. I want him.]

  1. I'm glad that your Easter was nice. Ours was too. You're right about it being the Holiest of the Church days. Going to church on Easter you can feel that.

I'm now following your blog because it's lovely and will stop by again soon. In the meantime, please check out my blogs especially smidgengoop.blogspot.com
    Best Regards,
