My little tree has been so very happy. This has less to do with the fact that he has twinkly lights and gold stars all over him now, and more to do with the fact that he might still think he's outside. You see, my apartment building has individual air conditioning units, but central heating. Apparently, this actually means no heating. As the Howder girls know - and anyone who's been on a track team with me - I am not happy when I am not warm. After a freezing office all day, and a freezing apartment all night, I was getting pretty seriously attached to the heated seats in my car.

After more than one person explicitly told me that I could not live in my car, I decided to just buy a space heater. What an idea! Now I'm cozy as can be...and I think the tree might actually like it too.

And in two weeks I'll have this!
