Mollie's room (and maybe déjà vu)

What is it about the first days of spring that make everyone (and everything) want to nest? I know I've shown you her room already, but we've made some barely noticeable changes...so of course I thought a full update was in order. You know, for posterity's sake.

It makes me laugh to think about my planning of Mollie's nursery before we knew her. I wanted soft colors, simplicity, and pretty vintage touches. Now that we know her, it's gotten much more colorful (and feels more colorful than these pictures convey) - it just suits her better!

Same sources as before, but a new teal rug (I'm shocked the other one made it a year, with a puppy and a baby in the house). We took down the painting above her crib after continuously moving it out of her reach, put up the garland from her birthday, and changed around the art on that wall.

The Scherenschnitte is from Clara - we all have copies in our nurseries!

I think this wall is mostly the same - again we just played musical chairs (musical frames?)
with the art.

More baby-proofing-required decorating: we had to get rid of the bookshelf on this wall. Anchoring aside, she was hellbent on climbing the thing, and making good progress every day. But that means more of the fantastic stars are visible! And there's a place for this cutest of all baby chairs from my mom! So no complaints.

...no complaints, but this is our current book "organization"...that top stack keeps going and going. Mollie loves to get her books out to read herself, so most of the time it looks like a book bomb went off over the whole room. I just try to corral them during naps so that no one gets hurt. We'll probably need a different system at some point, but this works for now!

Most importantly, Mollie loves her room. Here's her sitting properly in her armchair, smiling at the camera, and explaining how she feel like it's an accurate and joyful representation of her personality:

Just kidding! You get chair yoga instead.
