As much as I love lists, it's probably no surprise that I'm also a huge fan of countdowns. And we're going to be getting married two months from today!
I'm really really excited. We still have a bunch of stuff to do [besides wedding planning, we need to find a place to live, and I'll be finishing my fellowship and starting a new job in the next month...crazy], but we have wonderful friends and families who have already proven so helpful and made planning a wedding in 5 months actually fun. Who knew that was possible? And I know it's all going to get done, even if I end up exhausted on our wedding day:
We're making a trip home this weekend [I'm sure we'll get tired of the 9 hours drives at some point in our lives, but we're still going strong] for lots of wedding shenanigans. We'll hopefully be taking some engagement pictures, looking at wedding bands, getting my dress fitted, having a bridal shower, and meeting with caterers...and who knows what else will come up. I'm dying for a little pool time with my sisters, so if we somehow manage that as well [which requires complicated cooperation with Michigan weather], I'll consider the weekend a huge success.
