"Snape, Snape, Severus Snape..."

While I would definitely count all of Thanksgiving break a success (especially the amount of scrabble [which is what my family calls our homemade chex mix] and buckeyes that I ate), I have to admit, a highlight was definitely seeing Harry Potter 7....twice. Holy goodness, do I love Harry Potter. I'll even go so far as to defend the quality of the writing as an English major, but the truth is, it's just so damn magical. And, like everyone else my age, we basically grew up with these kiddos:

And now look at them!

[Ok ok, Harry's a foot shorter than everyone else and Ron's eyes always look he's a bit weepy, but come on - look at Emma. I just love her.]

And my family is way too indulgent of me...having just re-read the book, I was the voice of authority regarding the authenticity of the movie. Honestly, I think they remembered things just fine themselves, but they wanted to humor me by asking "Now where the hell did that snake come from again?" and "Who's Patronus was that in the woods?" And of course, I was only too happy to give an exhaustive recap/explanation. Because it's so damn magical.
