Oh Annapolis, how I love thee. Narrow, steep brick streets; fantastic boutiques next to kitschy tourist shops; a capitol with a freaking ACORN on top; more coffee options than you could possibly need; boats boats boats; and OYSTERS.
I went to Annapolis on Saturday for the first time since last summer, and it's just fantastic. We spent a beautiful, sunny afternoon poking around with no rush and no agenda. And yes, I tried my first oyster. I'm not scared of new foods in general (it's true, alligator tastes just like chicken), but oysters have always psyched me out. Of course now I have no idea why, since they're a bit odd but totally delicious. Anyway, jumping that tiny hurdle made me want to go try a bunch of new things, but I quickly realized food adventures aren't always readily available. Any suggestions? I'd be happy to turn especially odd things into a quest of sorts...
Sounds like a wonderful place to visit, Have a sweet day!
