Tintin!

I'm not going to get in the habit of doing movie reviews or recommendations here, but I'm going to make one exception.  I grew up reading my dad's copies of The Adventures of Tintin, and we have, over the years, given him the rest of the books to complete the collection.  If you want a rollicking, hilariously dated, superbly illustrated mystery comic book, you can't beat the "boy reporter" Tintin and crew.

And almost as a Christmas present for the extended Leutheuser family, Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson decided to make a feature-length, animated Tintin movie.  It was perfect.  

As Captain Haddock would say, blistering blue barnacles, you must go see it.

[p.s. I'm clearly still in denial that I can no longer sleep in and read these every day in front of the roaring fireplace.  Work today was a struggle, to say the least.]
