We got up in time to work out before going to mass [it turns out that morning workouts are a lot more manageable when they're not being doled out a 6:00 a.m. as punishment - oh track team], had mass with our favorite Fr. Kelly, checked out the paint swatches that we painted in our new apartment [that's right, I said new apartment. I'll tell that story soon.], cleaned the current apartment, went grocery shopping, watched The Godfather [can you believe that I had never seen it? Ryan's going to disown me when he reads this...I loved it of course, bro. Don't worry.], and had salad and french onion soup in a big ol' bread bowl for dinner:
Yes, instead of two little ones, we both ate out of this one. Were we too lazy to go to another store to look for smaller bread bowls, or just impossibly romantic? Just picture the spaghetti scene from The Lady and the Tramp, but with melted cheese...
Anyway, I used this recipe, and it was delicious. I'm sorry if the Lady and the Tramp mental image keeps you from enjoying it as much as we did.
Whoa.. This week is getting real for me. Erin starts her busy season and it's all up to me for dinner. That french onion soup looks amazing! I think I might be able to handle that. Maybe.
ReplyDeleteAlso... track workouts. I think I had a 6 a.m. with you once. Good times.
Ha...Dodson, I'll post another easy recipe this week for you then! Keep an eye out :).
ReplyDeleteAnd we totally had a 6 a.m....or two. I remember one with the whole team when we had to walk outside on the frozen football field for awhile...it was super weird, but definitely not the worst!
