fantastic flavor fruit farm

It's about time to pack up our car with bags, dog bed, stroller, piles of baby toys, miscellaneous food stuffs, and three people and a dog who are really bummed to be leaving our family. Michigan in the fall is just my favorite, and we managed to squeeze a lot of goodness into a few days.

The most efficient stop for fall cliches was Meckley's Flavor Fruit Farm on a chilly, sunny Saturday morning. My cousins own this bit of perfection, and I have enough fond memories of it growing up that now the smell of apple cider and fresh donuts can make me nostalgic enough that I could cry (really try not to, though).

Biggest carved pumpkin I've ever seen...I wanted to put Mollie in it,
but wasn't able to figure out an extraction plan.

Meckley's donuts are unreal - we ate so many that I think we all lost count.
On an unrelated note, it may be time to start exercising more.

Is there anything sweeter than a donkey?
Those big soulful eyes and velvety noses just make me melt.

Sheep, meet donkey.

It was so fun to take Mollie for the first time! I can't wait until she's old enough to enjoy hay rides and corn mazes and everything else. (But in the meantime, her being this young means more donuts for the rest of us, so that's pretty good too.)
