oh my, MA.

My scenery might be a little boring right now, but fortunately I have some great views stored up. Will, Darcy and I went to Massachusetts to see the rest of the family for a beautiful, relaxing (at least on my part - ha) week on the Westport River to kick off August recess. I read a few books, did a few crosswords, had too many ears of corn to count, and generally soaked in the fact that I have not one, but two amazing families.

View from the porch to the left.

Waking up to the sound of the river through an open window will always be the loveliest way to wake up. I swear I sleep better here than any place in the world.

Trying out the new sail.

My camera's fighting with me right now, and won't give up pictures of the river and house at sunset, which is sad because they're gloriously pink/purple and serene. But I'm not giving up.

Westport Beach

There's a chalkboard in the house covered with names and dates of visitors that Will nudged me to sign the first time I visited. I remember thinking at the time that I hoped I'd be able to sign it again...the place already had me under its spell. Till next year, Westport!
