I don't usually watch the Grammy's (because I'm picky about music and the fashion is below par), but we turned it on just in time to see Mumford and Sons. Is it even possible to listen to them without stomping your feet? I'm especially pumped because we're going to go see them in concert this week! Besides loving the fact that they're making folky-rock music more popular (the more Mumford spin-offs I hear on the radio the happier I'll be), I also just love their lyrics. They have the added bonus of being well-suited to chalkboard doodles:
My own chalkboard will probably have something from this on it before Wednesday (songs doubling as prayers are pretty cool):
Now I'll be bold
As well as strong
And use my head alongside my heart
So tame my flesh
And fix my eyes
A tethered mind freed from the lies
And I'll kneel down,
Wait for now
I'll kneel down,
Know my ground
Raise my hands
Paint my spirit gold
And bow my head
Keep my heart slow
As well as strong
And use my head alongside my heart
So tame my flesh
And fix my eyes
A tethered mind freed from the lies
And I'll kneel down,
Wait for now
I'll kneel down,
Know my ground
Raise my hands
Paint my spirit gold
And bow my head
Keep my heart slow

I'm so happy for you to see them in real life!! (I was thinking about mentioning jealousy in there, but how can anyone getting to see Mumford in real life be negative!) HAVE SO MUCH FUN!
