ramblings - 12.13.12

- Firstly, I'm putting about 85% of my energy into wishing for a scenario like this for Christmas. Come on, Michigan...snow for us!

- I'm choosing to not be concerned that we have to go downstairs for groceries basically every time I cook, but we always have materials for g&t's on hand. Whatever. Having a drink first probably makes me a better shopper anyway. Of course I meant to buy chocolate covered pretzels, arugula, and artisan cheese for dinner. Don't question me.

- I'm having serious plaid cravings lately...hopefully this manifests itself in some normal, put-together way, and not in me prancing around in my old high school uniform skirt when I go home.

- I am so offended by men joking that women are bad at directions. Such generalizations and stereotypes are demeaning. You should blame the fact that I got lost 3 different times today on the fact that I'm blond...duh.

- Tonight's discovery is that Darcy The Fearless is completely rattled by The Lumineers. This song in particular freaked the hell out of her, but the rest of the album wasn't much better. (This of course means that it'll be played on a regular basis for our amusement...or at least until she gets over it.)

- Do you think our condo association would look down on us having this on our porch? Because the alternative is putting it inside. A girl's got to do what a girl's got to do when it's fireplace season, friends.
