For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6
Merry, merry Christmas! It's been so good to be home - we've already eaten too much sugar, been showered with presents, and the pup experienced her first snowfall. Plus, a log cabin is just a really good place to be for Christmas:
Gracie's baby stein she got with edelweiss on it.
Part of Mom's Santa collection...I always liked the tall wooden one to the left. He sort of looks like he just got caught stealing presents.
And as always, squeezing every last inch out of the peaked roof.
Not pictured, of course, are all of us. That's because Christmas is a sleep-in, shower-optional, stay-in-pajamas-all-day, people-napping-everywhere sort of day, and that just doesn't need to be preserved on film. But it was pretty wonderful.
Thank God for the miracle of Christmas, and the blessing of family.

Fröhliche Weihnachten und einen guten Rutsch! How come you always insert small pieces of german? Anyway: Enjoy New Year's Eve and have a Happy New Year.

Hi! My family is German on my dad's side, and we've always just used short phrases in conversation. I studied it a little in college, but am quickly forgetting it, unfortunately!
