Happy Halloween! The last time I dressed up I was Betty in a group of Mad Men characters, which may reveal my rule for costumes: I want to already own basically everything I need for the costume. In my mind, there's no buzz kill like driving frantically to tons of stores on October 31, simply to pick over the outfits rejected by non-procrastinators. I'm prepared to buy/make one new thing, tops. So, in keeping with my not-so-recent obsession, if I was dressing up this year I'd definitely be going with something Fantastic Mr. Fox:

wish i could post a picture, its the first time i've ever put any effort into making a costume and I was pretty proud of the results.
