- Yesterday morning I felt a little like Meg Ryan in You've Got Mail - minus the cuteness. After I had already ordered my coffee at the shop around the corner from the office (so glad I hadn't chosen to go to Starbucks), I realized that I had forgotten my wallet. I kept desperately rifling through my purse even when I was sure it wasn't there, simply because I didn't know what else to do. Fortunately, the nice woman who works there smiled and said "Don't worry about it! You can just pay for it next time."
1. I clearly go there too often.
2. D.C. can feel delightfully like a small town when you're dealing with such friendly people.
- I'm so distracted by my own You've Got Mail reference...it's fall. It's time. It will spiral into a separate post.
- Our house is making me very happy lately - this is a note to self to remember to take some pictures before the second annual Oktoberfest. (!)
- Speaking of notes, my favorite thing about my iPhone might not be the lovely camera, screen resolution, or sheer brilliance of Apple. No. The thing that makes me the most happy lately is the stupid little notes app, which has taken my list-making compulsion to a new level. Muahahaha (conniving OCD laugh).
- I have friends who, when we have the day off, decide that the best use of said day is a 5 hour long pajama brunch. I just think that's worth noting.
- This time of year makes me miss my Howder House girls and the rest of my Hillsdale friends like crazy. I would make drastic promises if we could all have a Harvest Gathering up in Traverse again - pumpkin competitions, night hikes, sand dunes, car bombs, and all.

I am very excited about said Oktoberfest. In fact, I may even wear my cowboy boots in honor of fall. Why those things go together, I don't even know.

They just do. Fall, beer, cowboy boots, Mumford & Sons :).
