the bee's knees

I have a love-hate relationship with bees. More accurately, a love-fear relationship. I think they're some of the coolest creatures around, find the idea of bee-keeping very appealing, and love honey enough that we smuggled some back from our honeymoon in Kauai (bees in Hawaii are very happy bees). On the other hand, I'm pretty freaking allergic to them - not EpiPen allergic, just dramatic and cartoonish swelling allergic - which makes me kind of skittish and effectively ends my bee-keeping dreams.

But that doesn't stop me from eyeing Rifle Paper Co.'s new bee calendar:

And wishing me hair was dark enough to highlight these little guys:

I really think they're just the bee's knees.
