8 months

It's like we have a toddler overnight.

Ok, not quite a toddler. She only got her third tooth today, and she still struggles with the chewing concept when it comes to her sweet potato puffs. Our August travel encouraged some sleep regression, so we spent the last week trying to convince her that she doesn't need to be held throughout the night. She still hasn't mastered waving, though she does "high five" with some consistency. She can army crawl all over our apartment, but still hasn't figured out how to crawl on her knees (but she clearly knows that's the correct way):

That said, she suddenly seems like a big girl, and it's predictably thrilling and heart-wrenching. It's so, so much fun to see the skills she's picking up and watch her interacting with anyone she sees. She lights up when she sees other babies, squawks at everyone in the grocery store, and kicks her legs and laughs at every dog. She's very proud of her high chair and sits up straight, puffing out her chest during mealtimes. She pulls herself up on the couch, chairs, and her parents. She tries to launch herself into the bath fully clothed as soon as she sees the water running.

So when she cuddles for no reason, lays her head on my shoulder and sucks her thumb, and reminds me that she's still a little baby, it's my absolute favorite.

We love our curious, stubborn, precocious Mollie-girl!
