5 months

Someone was thrilled that today's outfit and sticker perfectly matched this pillow on our couch:

Ok, so I can't technically say it was Mollie. For all we know she could be colorblind. But she was happy about something! Which isn't really surprising, since it was morning. This girl loveslovesloves her mornings - she's been happy lately to just kick and coo in her crib for awhile when she wakes up, as though she doesn't want to be an imposition. And when we go in to get her she gives us the biggest, goofiest smiles that can make even me reconsider becoming a morning person. She talks and makes noises like crazy (as if she needs to fill us in on what's been happening for the last 10 hours) and I can't get enough of it.

It's funny to look back at the late 4 month update and see what's changed in about two weeks! Most noticeably, she started rolling and now the girl simply cannot be stopped. If you put her on her back, she'll be on her tummy in about half a second. Darcy also enjoys this new development, since it comes with easy access to toe-licking. This all means that Mollie's now sleeping on her tummy, which I'm hoping means that her absurdly huge bald spot on the back of her head might have a chance to grow back...if it doesn't, drastic measures will have to be taken.

Other tricks include chewing on toes, smacking lips on cue, and drooling more than one might think possible.

Looking through these pictures I can also finally see that she resembles me...the picture on the left (dazed perhaps?) looks identical to my baby pictures! But we don't see the half-smile expression very often - she usually skips straight to the one on the right :).

We love our silly girl!
