order out of chaos

As I've mentioned, the nursery has so far served as our shove-all-unopened-boxes-in-there-and-shut-the-door-quickly room. And there were so many boxes to shove! We had a storage unit with our old apartment, but don't have one here. That means there were lots of mysterious collections and sentimental and unused items that all needed to either be purged or put away and quite frankly, it was exhausting to just look at it.

But no more. As of today, things have been sufficiently purged/placed and it actually looks like a baby could live in there safely (Will had been telling people that the camping gear and other sharp paraphernalia would just be added stimulation for her). And to build on that momentum, an accent wall has been painted and the crib and dresser have been assembled! So thankful for helpful friends.
Some seasonal goodness outside our door. The crib, which makes me so happy. Dave, Darcy, and Will building the dresser. Alice painted a very fetching (ha ha) paw print on Darcy's nose while helping with the wall.

  1. Anna,

Where is that crib from? It's really cute and looks a lot like the crib I had when I was a baby. We are using the matching changing table now and it would be sweet to have a matching crib again.

    1. It's a Jenny Lind crib gifted by my parents! The best price I found was on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/DaVinci-Jenny-Lind-Convertible-White/dp/B002T1HH1I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384388196&sr=8-1&keywords=jenny+lind+crib

      So cute! :)
