bird-watching

She looks like a grown-up dog here, and I kind of hate it. I miss when her ears were as big as her head!

No fear of her actually being a grown-up, though...she still chews on her bed consistently (maybe her dog food doesn't have enough fluff?), gets spooked by the semis, and generally chooses when she wants to do her tricks.

One little change, however, is that she has the ability to actually sit still sometimes. Spring and warm weather means that we always have our balcony door open now, and she sits in the sun for hours on end just watching and listening to the birds in our courtyard. She barely moves, just twitching her ears and tilting her head from time to time.

Based on her distressingly systematic hunting, killing, and eating of the only fly to ever get in our house, I'd guess she'd also like to be hunting the birds. But what with the lack of wings, things remain very calm and cute around here.

    1. Which is why when she's running and tired and she starts sort of going sideways with her tongue flopping out I think it's the funniest thing ever.....the rest of the dog park doesn't know the elegant side :)
