presents for all!

Many many thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes yesterday!  I got so lucky this year, and got to be with my parents, and middle sister, and future brother-in-law, and his family, and Alice, and our wonderful friend/adopted big sister, and her most perfect of perfect babies.  Goodness overload.

I also received lots of thoughtful gifts, and while those aren't the most important thing, they sure are fun.  I wanted to show you all the one Alice got for me, because the cleverness needs to be shared:

First of all, brilliant book.  Secondly, it's embroidered!  How cool is that?  Penguin has a series of them that would be perfect for friends (obviously) or Mother's Day (right around the corner):

I love how colorful the last one is!  Anyway, next time you're trying to figure out what to buy someone, buy one of these.  You'll probably have put up with some talk about my other presents at some point too, because I'm still particularly jazzed about Will's gift...
