Monday music 11.28.11

I predicted a rough transition back to the work week, and I was right.  Really hard to focus on a computer screen for long periods of time.  But I had a secret weapon that proved very helpful:

I'm as big a fan of Mariah's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" as anyone.  It conjures up a mish-mash of Christmas smells, Love Actually viewings, driving to get Will from the airport in late December, and a whole lot of general holiday goodness.  But really, it's been played non-stop since 1994.  Umm, I was 6 years old then.  It was probably time for someone else to try to tackle it.  And while I'm sure Mariah's remix with the Biebs will be fantastic, I wanted a crooner.  And I got it.  Hurray!

[And before people start arguing that Michael Buble is a rip-off of the original crooners, I'd like to make the case that you can love them all.  This girl does, at least.  No one will replace Bing for me.  But the more the merrier, right?]
