'ello!

I have the habit of greeting inanimate objects with a peppy British accent. And since I feel like I'm talking to a weird blobby thing called the Internet (I picture it being purple), I can't help but start this blog that way. Fortunately, this isn't for the Internet. I'm not intending it for a bunch a strangers, which means I can avoid that awkward introduction of myself. [If anyone stumbles across this blog and develops an irrational, but very personal, attachment to me (I hear that happens sometimes...hello wit + delight, design*sponge, et al.), they will have to assiduously comb through all of my posts in an effort to glean personal details about me. I like that idea...like a scavenger hunt!]

Anyway, I'm doing this so that my family and friends can help me decorate my new apartment, remind me that I can't buy a puppy, laugh at the embarrassing things I do daily...oh, and because I said if Katie started one then I would too. And I am all for keeping promises that also serve as procrastination devices.
