berry blossom? for real?

I place way too much importance in trivial things...for example, the color of people's gmail account backgrounds. But I mean, doesn't everyone look at their family's/friends'/coworkers'/neighbors in Starbucks' gmail accounts to quickly appraise the color scheme? No? Hmph.

Anyway, I think it is very interesting what people choose. Some people haven't changed from the original, and those I won't censor (simply because I don't really understand them, and therefore they command some sort of mystery-borne respect). My sister Mister, on the other hand, has the ninja-themed background, which she likes because she points out that it's obviously better to mark your important emails with throwing stars than regular stars. Some friends have team colors. To those who choose the japanese-style animation of children having a tea party...just...what does the rest of your decorating style look like? I'm intrigued...

TO THE POINT NOW: I used to be a habitual color changer. I admit it, I couldn't stick with a theme for longer than a week. Some (like cutesy pink) had even shorter shelf lives. Such was the unstable state of my email world until...TAZO BERRY BLOSSOM WHITE TEA.

I know. The name is so stupid. ["Berry Blossom" actually sounds like it should be the name of the japanese kids' tea party background.] But I happened upon it one day in college when I was sick (which happens a lot in the winter in Michigan), and I needed a tea with caffeine to keep me awake in German class. I think I was slightly delusional, because I remember accosting friends - and strangers - and showing them how pretty the colors on the tea packet were. Now, in a healthy state of mind, I can admit that they are just light blue and dark grey. Good versions of each color, but still. Regardless, I changed my gmail background to match those colors that day, and haven't changed them since.

Now I'm sort of interested to see if the majority of choices I make when feverish are stabilizing, or chaotic. I'm sure I'll be sick again in a month or two, so I'll keep track and let you all know then, alright?
