Half a year with this sunshine baby already! I can't believe it - but also can't imagine our days without her. I'm so grateful.
She has her first two teeth now, and puts them to use gnawing on anything and everything. She loves solid food and prefers veggies to fruits for now - fruits elicit the most hilarious "sour" face every time! The fact that she's eating more real food also means that Darcy's love of her has reached new levels...she waits by Liv's high chair for her to stretch out her messy hands for a lick (which happens every time I turn my back).
Liv adores swinging at the playground and would do it as long as I let her...we usually only stop to go save Mollie from some slide predicament :). She thinks Mollie is the most amazing human being! We can practically see Liv's brain and body working as hard as possible to catch up to her big sister. This is evidenced by the fact that she skipped any scooting or Army-crawling, and went straight to crawling on hands and knees like a pro! (About two months earlier than Mollie did - like I said, she wants to catch up!) She's so happy to be able to get around the house by herself, and I die every time she comes padding around a corner to see me with her big, goofy grin.
Of course, this new mobility also means she's waking up and crawling around her crib at night...so she's back in our room (after a particularly noisy night and Mollie declaring that Liv didn't want to share her room right now haha). But the beauty of doing this for the second time is that it's much easier to remember that none of these phases last very long. Until then, more coffee!
