1 month already! Apparently time goes by just as quickly the second time around, which is a true tragedy. I'd like to keep this sweetness forever, please:
Livia/Livie/Liv...it's a good thing we decided against Willa, because she looks so much like her daddy that it would have been over-the-top. I love the fact that she looks like Will - though a very pretty girl version, of course. Quick! Goofy face so that no one gets conceited:
This girl is such a delight. So far she's quiet and generally content (though she knows how to express her displeasure if necessary). When she's awake she has a delightfully inquisitive face: calmly observant, and looking like she's pleased by what she sees. When her eyes pop open in the middle of the night and she looks at me with that sweet, expectant face, I literally laugh out loud because I'm so smitten.
She's sleeping well enough that when we wake up in the morning I say "I miss her," and feel like it's been too long since I've held her. Mollie agrees, and wakes up saying "I need baby sister," and won't be placated until she's smothered her with kisses and cooed in her face and proclaimed "she likes me!" Her hiccups are the highest-pitched I've ever heard, and sound exactly like a squeaky toy. She laughs in her sleep and makes us impatient for those first conscious smiles and laughs. This month has flown by, and we can't imagine our family without our little Liv.
