- not blogging. Clearly.
- watching this. Crazy, intense, and fills a Homeland-shaped hole in our tv schedule.
- cheating on gin with bourbon, thanks in large part to birthday-girl Alice. Planning on lots of these this summer:
- taking lots of long walks. (Speaking of summer - this weather is amazing!)
- slowly reading this, and it sure is something. It makes my head hurt, and it makes me laugh out loud on the metro. I can't believe it's taken me this long to get to it! His thoughts about fairytales deserve its own post, but I also loved this response to those who set themselves up as the "mini-gods" of their own universe:
"How sad it must be to be God; and an inadequate God! Is there really no life fuller and no love more marvelous than yours; and is it really in your small and painful pity that all flesh must put its faith? How much happier you would be, how much more of you there would be, if the hammer of a higher God could smash your small cosmos, scattering the stars like spangles, and leave you in the open, free like other men to look up as well as down!"
- painting my nails with #58. [Apparently I can only manage substance for one bullet point at a time.]
- cuddling with a dog who's happiest when she's touching both of us and has a paw thrown across someone's chest in a sleepy hug. And back to that I go.
