weekend

Guys. This was a really good weekend. Productive, relaxing, and just generally fun. On Saturday we slept in and then went to our friends' house for a garage sale. It's a really cool house in D.C., and so many people in our friend group have lived there at some point (I'm counting 11 at least, including me when I fist moved here) that it's almost like a college house. Long live 431! After managing to stay awake for a few hours, we had to come home and take naps with the windows open for a few hours, of course:

Then we made up for our sloth by getting tons of errands done for the rest of the day, and celebrated with "O Brother, Where Art Thou?". George Clooney, I've never loved you more than as a Dapper Dan man.

Today we went to early mass with Dave and Jenna, and our friends from Hillsdale and their two adorable little girls. Brunch was loud and happy and full of curly blond-haired toddlers vying for attention. The big kids, of course, obliged.

It was a gorgeous day, so Will and I rewarded ourselves with ice cream for washing the car. Well technically, I got lime-mint sorbet, and I'm obsessed. It's like a mojito you can eat. And you can't beat that.

The afternoon was spent reading in the courtyard and doing some good housekeeping, including building a second bookshelf so that the rest of our books aren't living in a sad cardboard box on the floor anymore:

I love how the ladder-look makes them take up less room and doesn't make the area feel too heavy (Target FTW). And I will eventually take pictures of the whole apartment, but I've misplaced my Nikon charger - hence the reliance on Instagram. Anybody want to tell me where my charger is? I'd be much obliged.
