perpetuum perplexity

I've always shied away from using popular songs as my alarm in the morning.  I'm pretty sure, given how much I love sleep and resent anything that takes me from it (just ask around), I would hate hearing the song on the radio after a week of waking up to it.  This song, however, has proved a happy alarm for months now:

I thought I was safe with it.  But now it's serving as the background for tons of popular songs (like these, for example.  Maybe Avicii is the main culprit, since they do both songs?):

As long as I tune it out, I'm fine...but as soon as I start focusing on that loop I'm suddenly sleepy, cuddly, stubborn, and can't shake the overwhelming feeling that I need jump in the shower and start the day.  Even if it's 4:30 p.m.  Cuss.  I don't want to give up my Perpetuum Mobile!

What do you guys use as an alarm?  [And please don't say that you're just a finely-tuned machine that easily wakes up at exactly 6:30 a.m. every day.]

  2. I think Avicii needs to get a new riff. I use sunlight. Works great in certain times of year!

  3. I wake up to WCSR! Usually it's a news round-up when it goes off, which I love.
